Updating Your Firmware

Keeping your ﬁrmware up to date will ensure that your MakerBot Replicator 2 always

operates at its best. When a new version of your bot’s ﬁrmware is available, MakerWare

will display a message letting you know that it’s time to update. To update your ﬁrmware,

follow these steps:

1. Locate the USB-A to USB-B cable that came with your MakerBot Replicator 2 and use

it to connect your Replicator 2 to your computer.

2. Choose “Upload Firmware” from the MakerBots menu. MakerWare will walk you through

the rest of the steps necessary to upload new ﬁrmware.
